What is Ada?

Ada is a language created by the american DoD (Departament of Defense) for the development of their applications. It is an evolution of languages like Pascal, nore modular, and with object oriented extensions.

A freely distributable compiler is GNAT Ada, which can be downloaded at libre.adacore.com. This version requires registration, and AdaCore, their creators, maintain also a "professional version", non-free, called GNAT Pro.
