About the creator of this site...
- I have a BS in Computer Engineering (Systems Engineering) by the University of Alicante.
- I have a BS in Computer Engineering (Software Engineering) by the U.N.E.D.
- I try to keep on studying and remain a bit up-to-date, when i have a bit of spare time. Now i'm getting a MS in Computer Engineering by the University of Alicante.
- I also have part (three years) of Industrial Engineering by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which I might continue some day. No hurry... :-)
- Hobbies: computer programming, basketball, travel, movies...
- Work: I have worked as a computing teacher, as an analyst/programmer as a computing systems technician. Right now, I teach computing in an Educational Centre in Alicante (Spain), on the subject "Fundamentals of Computers Programming".
- Programming knowledge: Its a kind of information which might easily get outdated, but for the curious... I have programmed in C and C++ (Dos, Windows and Unix), Pascal (Turbo Pascal, Delphi and others), Java, PHP, Basic (GwBasic, QBasic, Visual Basic), ASP, JSP, Assembler (Z80, 80x86, 8051, Mips R2000), Modula-2, Prolog, Lisp, XBase (dBase, Clipper, FoxPro), Logo... and I might forget any other. I also have a bit of knowledge of authomata, robots and CNC programming.
- Other computing knowledge: As expected in a computer enginner, I also know about computer networks, databases, operating systems, algorithmics..., but also about CAD, 3D and a few other subjects.
- Other interests: I try to learn about many subjects, not only concerning computer. I also like "spoken languages", so I have studied Spanish (native), English (you probably guessed that), valentian/catalonian, and a bit of french, italian and german (but i've forgotten most of these three). I have also learnt about Fine Arts (photography, drawing, pottery...), about several sports (karate, basketball, hiking, scuba diving, windsurf...) and about effective teaching and didactics.
- Contacting me: Simple. E-mail me at nacho [at] nachocabanes [dot] com. I have little spare time, but I'll try to answer.
